The Plast Scouting Organization in the USA and Canada is widely distributing the Peace Light in 2009.

After four women members from the senior group .Ti, scho Hrebil Rvut'  participated at the Welcome Ceremony at JFK in NYC,  Plast USA began  immediate distribution to all its member groups.

On Saturday, December 6th in Whippany, New Jersey Plast held a formal gathering to distribute the flame to children, plast Members and visitors. Plast-USA President, Petro Stawnychy greeted everyone and led the distribution.  The Newark Plast Branch led a presentation and song. Four representatives from the Plast Argentinian Organization and Latvian Scouting were present at the ceremony.  Video from the Distribution event can be seen on You Tube. 

Plast's Cleveland and Chicago Branches also received the Peacelight in Akron, Ohio from the Minnesota Troop  during their trip home from JFK, NYC.

On December 9th, 2009, Plast USA - Ksenia Zakharchuk, Chief Scout Philadelphia, PA transfered the Peacelight to Stephen Szyszka, Chief Scout for Washington, DC (Shown in photo to right)  The Peacelight was then transfered to the Chaplains serving the community of  Ft Bragg, NC 

The PeaceLight has now been distributed to Rochester, Syracuse, New York City, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and North Carolina.
